Dominican Republic’s Banco Agricola’s Zero Rate Program benefits agricultural producers with hundreds of millions of pesos

Dominican Republic.-According to the manager of Banco Agrícola in Azua, engineer Ángel Daniel Jiménez, in 2022 RD$845.9 million were placed; in 2023, RD$1,012.5 million were placed, for a rate of return of RD$703.2 million and RD$934.7 million, respectively, for the benefit of agricultural producers, through the zero rate program.

“An innovative initiative is the zero rate program that is an intention of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader and a special follow-up by our general administrator Fernando Antonio Duran. So far, 385.5 million pesos have been lent, reaching 744 producers and impacting some 19,895 tasks of land”.

The engineer Ángel Daniel Jiménez spoke about the achievements obtained in the 2021-2023 period, at the celebration of the 78th anniversary of Banco Agrícola in Azua, together with the entity’s staff and personalities from different social sectors of the southern province.

The act of celebration, which took place at the facilities of the Banco Agrícola Azua branch, was attended by Mrs. Bartolina González, representing the civil governor Angela Pérez; the president of the Agricultural Insurance Company (Agrodosa), Fernando Rosso; the deputy manager of the branch, María de la Cruz Pujols, and the deputy manager of the Padre Las Casas services office, Julio Cesar Ramírez, among others.

The blessing of the act was in charge of the president of the Dominican Association of Seventh-day Adventists, Pastor Carlos Rilio, who motivated those present to continue working for the well-being of Dominican families.
