Dominican Republic Senate Strengthen Bonds of Cooperation with New York Legislators

He Senate from Dominican Republic received this Monday the second visit of one delegation of legislators of NYduring which they “strengthened the bonds of friendship and cooperation” and highlighted the achievements obtained, as the homologation between the licenses of drive Dominican and those of the Big Apple.

He president of the Senate Dominican Ricardo De los Santos appreciated the Actions that both legislative bodies have directed with the interest of promoting the development of the Dominican diaspora in NYaccording to a statement from the Upper House.

De los Santos stood out among the achievements obtained through the different Actions developed, the approval of the homologation of the use of the license drive Dominican in NYPermanently.

“We are very satisfied with the day of work that we carried out today. The collaboration between both institutions has been successful, since great advances have been made,” added the senator.

At the meeting, which took place in the Multipurpose Room of the Upper House, Ricardo de los Santos highlighted that “another of the goals of great impact” -this cooperation– is to strengthen the socioeconomic activities of Dominicans residing in NY and New Yorkers who have investments in Dominican Republic.

He senator district 32 of the Bronx, Luis Sepúlveda, who headed the delegation of legislators New Yorkers, thanked the Senate Dominican for the receptivity and openness to work jointly in favor of the best interests of Dominicans.

“The collaboration in between NY y Dominican Republic has paid off and benefits tangible, also in areas such as commerce, education, health, and the development sustainable,” said Luis Sepúlveda.

In addition, they participated representatives from Police of NYincluding Dennis Rodríguez, William Rivera, Wilfrido Domínguez and Aquilino Gonell, accompanied by the ambassador of Dominican Republic in Washington, Sonia Guzmán, and the consul Dominican in NYchose Jaquez.
