Andrzej Bąk, an analyst of the cereals market from the Warsaw Commodity Exchange SA, says that cereals are being purchased in ports where prices have increased. At WGT SA there are chances for an increase in sales interest.
Prices go up in ports
- PLN 1,400 / t for consumption wheat,
- for triticale 1250-1280 PLN / t, PLN / t,
- for feed rye 1080 PLN / t,
- for dry maize PLN 1120 / t.
Within two weeks, wheat prices increased by PLN 100 / t, triticale by PLN 80 / t, fodder rye by PLN 50 /, and corn by PLN 20 / t.
Take it easy in the stores
In purchase prices, the increase in prices was also large and there was no short-term decline, as in the case of foreign stock exchanges.
The following transaction prices were recorded:
- wheat consumption cost – 1300-1400 PLN / t,
- feed wheat – PLN 1250-1350 / t,
- triticale – 1150-1200 PLN / t,
- consumption rye – 1130-1250 PLN / t,
- fodder rye -1080-1180 PLN / t,
- barley for consumption – 1250-1330 PLN / t,
- feed barley – PLN 1180-1250 / t,
- feed oats – PLN 850-950 / t,
- dry corn – 1030-1100 PLN / t,
- wet maize – PLN 750-850 / t.
WGT SA: few buying and selling bids
There were few buy and sell offers at WGT SA and more or less the same number of buyers and sellers. There are chances of increasing interest in selling grains.
The following prices were recorded:
- Consumer wheat was offered at PLN 1500-1600 / t, and the buyers offered PLN 120-1280 / t.
- Feed wheat was offered at PLN 1320-1400 / t. The buyers offered PLN 1,200 / t.
- Consumer rye was not offered, and buyers were looking for it for PLN 1050-1100 / t.
- Feed rye was not offered, and buyers were looking for 1000-1050 PLN / t.
- Consumer barley was offered at PLN 1,350 / t, and the buyers wanted to buy it at PLN 1,250-1300 / t.
- Feed barley was offered for PLN 1300 / t, and buyers for PLN 1100-1150 / t.
- Feed oats were sold at PLN 950-1000 / t, and the buyers offered PLN 800-850 / t.
- Triticale was not offered, and buyers were looking for it for PLN 1000 / t.
- Corn dry was offered at PLN 1030-1100 / t, and buyers offered PLN 980-1100 / t.
- Wet corn was offered at PLN 750-800 / t, and buyers were looking for PLN 690-700 / t.
Rolpetrol: A bit more grain sellers
According to Zbigniew Solecki from the Rolpetrol Stock Exchange, there were slightly more grain sellers last week. After the decline on the global stock exchanges, transaction prices fell by PLN 20-40 / t
- Feed wheat with delivery cost PLN 1,380 / t
- Consumer wheat over 1450 PLN / t with delivery.
- Dry corn 1000-1030 PLN / t from stock.
- Feed barley from the warehouse about 1000-1050 PLN / t
- Spring feed barley with delivery PLN 1250 / t
- Consumer rye with delivery from 1100 PLN / t.
