The 75-year-old further writes that it was her uncle who took her to local shows, got her her first job and knocked on doors at music companies.

‘I bet many of our own relatives do not even know all the great things that Uncle Bill did behind the scenes throughout his life. But the greatest thing he ever did for me was to help me see my dreams come true, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I’m sure Uncle Bill’s friends, fans, wife Sandy, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be with me when I say we will always love you. Rest in peace, Uncle Bill, ‘she concludes.

Several deaths

As mentioned, the sad news comes just months after the country star lost his brother.

“My brother Randy has lost the battle against cancer. I’m like the rest of the family in great grief, but we know he’s in a better place than us right now. We are a believing family, and we believe that he is safe with God and is met with open arms by other family members who have previously passed away “, was among what she wrote on Facebook.

According to Taste of Country Randy was the eighth of 12 children of parents Robert and Avie Lee. While Dolly Parton is probably the most recognizable name in the family, her career would probably have been different if her younger brother had not performed as a guitarist in her band.
