Doctor Strange 2 (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) signs the return of Sam Raimi at the helm of a Marvel project several years later Spider-Man 3. The man continues the multiverse started in several MCU productions like Spider-Man : No Way Home. A character in opposition to Stephen Strange
We know that many characters are present in Doctor Strange 2 and among the newcomers, count on America Chavez. A heroine presented in one of the trailers of the feature film embodied by Xochitl Gomez. And if you’re familiar with the multiverse in the MCU, this revelation from Sam Raimi might catch your attention. The filmmaker confirms that this character does not belong in the main MCU timeline. America Chavez comes from an alternate reality.
[America Chavez] adds an exciting youthful spirit. She is a newcomer to our world. She actually comes from another universe. I think it brings a feeling of lightness and freshness. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange can be very selfish and stuffy, a know-it-all. She goes the opposite of that. She doesn’t really have any respect for him at first. She sees clearly in the appearances he erects. She’s more down-to-earth, she can’t stand his attitude. I don’t think he likes it at first. So it brings a contrast.
