Do you live in a critical area for COVID-19? Updated maps here – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK Governor Andrew Cuomo has realigned maps of hotspots in Brooklyn and Queens, intensifying restrictions in one area of the red zone while easing them in others. He did not alter the maps of Rockland, Orange or Broome counties on Wednesday, citing the need for more progress, while acknowledging that something has been accomplished.

The governor also added two new rebound zones in Steuben and Chemung counties. The same color-coded categorization by risk applies.

The red shaded areas they show the closure of non-essential businesses and schools change completely at a distance. The orange zones also relocate completely remote schools, but have less severe restrictions on businesses, while the yellow zones have more leeway with precautions.

Here are the rules by color code. Below you will find the updated zone maps of the critical zones. The city also developed a online search tool to help people determine if their address is within a sprout zone (find below). Heavy fines are levied for breaking the rules – Mayor Bill de Blasio said they could be up to $ 15,000 per day for mass gathering offenses and up to $ 1,000 per day each for social distancing and face covering violations.
