On May 9, the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) opened the period for receiving proposals so that any food, beverage or merchandise business can set up shop in the iconic and busy Fordham Plaza.

The new businesses would occupy Kiosk 3 (north kiosk) in Fordham Plaza, located at Fordham Road, Third Avenue and East 189th Street in the Bronx.

DOT is seeking qualified individuals or entities with experience managing food, beverage, and/or merchandise services.

Fordham Plaza is a major economic, cultural, and transportation hub in the Bronx. The reconstructed plaza has been expanded to more than 75,000 square feet and features improved pedestrian and vehicle circulation and bus facilities on surrounding streets. Plaza amenities include plants, orientation, pedestrian lighting, and seating.
