“This means that there are 20-30 percent of the population. So be careful of the iceberg phenomenon because it has not been tested,” he said.
Next is the watermelon phenomenon. Where there is a decrease in cases due to a decrease in testing. Ngabila stressed that he would not allow this phenomenon to occur in Jakarta.
“The second is the watermelon phenomenon. The outside is green and the inside is red. Why? Because it wasn’t tested,” he said.
“(We) have only been tested 13 times the minimum WHO standard. So we don’t want to make it sound like the epidemiological numbers are good, but because they weren’t tested, it could be a ticking time bomb,” he continued.
Finally, Jakarta is now faced with the ping pong phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs because of the high flow of people in and out of the Jakarta area.
These people, he said, did not realize they had come with the Corona virus. To overcome this, the DKI Provincial Government has decided to implement an Emergency PPKM.
