Tiësto and Annika got married last year. The two met each other in 2015 in a restaurant in New York and the spark started right away. Three years later Thijs decided to bow down for his Annika, she tells opposite Vogue. “We were on vacation in the Maldives and Thijs wanted to propose during the perfect sunset. Unfortunately it rained very hard the first nine days we were there. Fortunately on the last day it got better and Thijs pulled out all the stops and rented an entire restaurant. I thought we were going to have a romantic dinner, but when we arrived I knew something was going to happen. (…) I think we were both so excited and nervous that as soon as we got there, he immediately gave in to his knees. It was very romantic. ”
