Cholet and Nantes have already met this season, during the first round of the Coupe de France, at the end of September. The Dogs won 4-2. Since then, the dynamics have been reversed. If the Choletais started the championship by taking nine points in four games, they lost their last two matches. Opposite, Nantes is in full swing after a start to the season to forget. The Corsairs remain on three convincing successes. Twenty goals scored, four conceded, one shutout, this is the exceptional record of the last three outings of Jeremiah Luedtke’s teammates.

It took three matches for Meudon to find its cruising speed. The Comets have since taken points in each meeting. Only problem for the Ile-de-France residents: they finished half of their matches on penalties. This is why the Meudonnais are not in the top 8 although they have already won three matches. For its part, Tours disappoints. Unhappy finalists in the playoffs last spring, Franck Spinozzi and his gang are having a more than complicated start to the championship. The Remparts have the worst attack in the championship with an average of less than two goals per match.

In full rise in the ranking, Dunkerque, which remains on four victories in a row, travels to Neuilly-sur-Marne. The Bison are gradually getting back on track. Serge Forcier’s men have scored two victories in their last three matches. Although their attack shone five times during the trip to Brest, the Nocéens still lacked efficiency in front of goal with barely more than 6% of converted shots. The Corsairs could take advantage of this meeting to gain defensive confidence, having conceded 21 goals in six games.

The promoted Valencian player is still getting used to it. The Red Devils are still chasing their first victory in regulation time this season. If the points counter was unlocked on the second day, Valenciennes did not manage to continue. When it comes time to face Strasbourg, the Northerners now occupy last place. Under the command of Daniel Bourdages, Etoile Noire had a very good start to the season with three victories in as many matches before losing their teeth in Epinal and Caen. The Alsatians got off to a good start against Chambéry this Tuesday (2-1) and want to confirm.

The third receives the leader, with one ambition: to be the first to bring him down this season. The team that took the most chances in front of goal welcomes the one that tried the least in front of the cages. If Mont-Blanc has already shot 283 times, Epinal is the most efficient team since the Wildcats have converted almost 20% of their 135 shots. Top scorer in the championship, Peter Hrehorcak reflects his team with almost 50% success (8 goals, 17 shots). Victor Goy will have to put out a great match to stop the Vosges armada and give the Yetis a chance to win.

Morzine-Avoriaz did not procrastinate after its 11-3 defeat against Nantes. The Penguins recovered in Chambéry by winning 3-2. This Saturday, the Haut-Savoyards welcome a collective in full doubt. Brest have lost their last four matches. If there was better against Neuilly-sur-Marne, the Albatross’ lackluster performance ended with a defeat on penalties (6-5prl). Joé Dube and his teammates will try to make the difference in powerplay. Morzine-Avoriaz is the team in greatest difficulty in numerical inferiority, enough to give the Bretons a chance?

Caen and Chambéry, two clubs with diametrically opposed dynamics since the start of this 2023-2024 financial year. The Elephants would like to sink the Drakkars in Caen La Mer, who have conceded two setbacks after three consecutive successes. However, the Normans would see themselves making the pass of three after having taken points against Brest and Strasbourg. The Caennais present themselves with the best defense in Division 1 (12 goals conceded) when it comes time to face the Savoyards, helped by Ronan Quemener’s 95.13% saves.
