The city of Offenbach am Main continues to support general practitioners and specialists with additional vaccination offers.
In the Stadthaus, Berliner Straße 60, children from 5 to 11 years of age are vaccinated. To do this, an appointment must be made under www.offenbach.de/impfen to be agreed. All forms are also available for download there. In the Bernardbau, Herrnstrasse 61, vaccinations are carried out daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. without an appointment for those aged 12 and over. The entrance is behind the roller door just before the intersection with Mainstrasse. There are currently no waiting times.
There are two vaccination practices on Frankfurter Strasse. There is an appointment at number 31 https://dr-zare.de/ bookable for everyone from 12 years of age. From January 9, 2022, vaccinations from the age of 5 are also possible. No appointment is required at number 47 – but waiting times are to be expected. A vaccination center has been set up in Lauterborn at Merianstrasse 14. Vaccinations are carried out there with an appointment booking at https://t1p.de/vymh on-line. Appointments for Saturday, January 8th and Saturday, January 15th can also be made here for children from 5 to 11 years of age.
The hospitals in the supply area to which Offenbach currently belongs are only two fully vaccinated out of 13 people with Covid-19 in intensive care units. Although the Omikron variant has significantly changed its “face” compared to Delta, the vaccination still protects very well against severe disease and death. With a booster vaccination, this protection is currently over 80 percent for those affected. The vaccination protects against becoming contagious or passing on viruses less well than before.
