District of Kleve – Corona protection regulation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia will take effect in the district of Kleve from Sunday

14.05.2021

7-day incidence has been stable for five consecutive working days below the threshold of 100 new cases per 100,000 population

District of Kleve – On Friday, May 14th, for the fifth working day in a row, the Kleve district has a corona 7-day incidence of less than 100 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This is relevant for the relaxation of the “Corona emergency brake”, which is now taking effect.

Important: The state of North Rhine-Westphalia determines whether this limit has been permanently undershot by including the Kleve district in a general decree. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia publishes the valid general decrees online:

The “Corona emergency brake” approved by the federal government only takes effect from an incidence of over 100. From Sunday, May 16, only the regulations of the Corona Protection Ordinance issued by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia apply. To this end, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has issued a new version.

Associated with this are some changes in corona protective measures for the citizens of the district. In particular, the opening of outdoor restaurants and cultural institutions is new. “I am pleased that due to the favorable development of new infections in the Kleve district, the outdoor catering and cultural facilities are allowed to reopen. At the same time, I ask everyone to continue to observe the distance and hygiene rules so that this success is not frivolously gambled away, “says District Administrator Silke Gorißen.

The following list only gives examples of some areas for which changes have been made. The state provides the full version of the Corona Protection Ordinance NRW online: https://www.mags.nrw/sites/default/files/asset/document/210512_coronaschvo_ab_15.05.2021_lesefassung.pdf

These regulations are expected to apply in the Kleve district from Sunday, May 16, 2021:

Contact restrictions

Meetings of two households with a maximum of five people are allowed. Children up to 14 years of age do not count. Fully vaccinated and convalescents are also not counted in the person restrictions

Exit restrictions

The nocturnal exit restrictions do not apply.

Culture / leisure

It is possible to operate museums, art exhibitions, galleries, castles and similar facilities – if appointment booking, tracking and limited access (one person per 20 square meters in closed rooms) are ensured.

Open-air concerts are possible with a maximum of 500 people (seating plan required) who can present a current negative corona test result or who have been vaccinated or have recovered.

Sport

Individual sports are permitted in the open air – including on sports facilities – subject to compliance with the minimum distance, as well as training in individual lessons. Practicing non-contact sports on sports facilities is also possible outdoors with up to 20 people.

In addition, contact sports can be practiced in the open air under the conditions of general contact restrictions.

Up to 20 children aged up to 14 years can train on outdoor sports facilities with up to two supervisors.

retail trade

All shops can open. A medical or FFP2 mask must be worn.

For shops that are not part of the basic supply (groceries, drugstores, etc.), the following requirements apply: A current negative corona test result must be presented or proof of complete vaccination or recovery. There is a maximum of one customer per 20 square meters in the shop. An appointment booking is no longer necessary.

schools

School operations will continue to take place in principle and, for the time being, only alternating lessons; Graduating classes are excluded from this. Further information: https://www.schulministerium.nrw/startseite/regelungen-fuer-schulen-ab-dem-26-april-2021

Gastronomy

If the 7-day incidence in a municipality is below 100 for five consecutive days, the opening of the outdoor catering is permitted. Requirements: reduced number of guests and a negative corona test. Genesis and fully vaccinated persons are equated with this.

Hotel and hospitality industry

Hotels and similar facilities are allowed to open with an occupancy rate of up to 60 percent. Guests are allowed to stay there for business and private reasons. A negative corona test is also required. Genesis and fully vaccinated persons are equated with this.

The same applies to overnight stays in holiday apartments and campsites.

These regulations apply until further notice or until the 7-day incidence again exceeds the threshold value of 100 on three consecutive days or falls below the value of 50 on five consecutive working days. Schools are an exception, for which stricter regulations (prohibition of alternating classes) only apply when the incidence is stable above 165.
