Distribution of ministerial portfolios gradually announced: Van Quickenb …

After 493 days there is a substantive agreement for the federal government. It soon became clear that Alexander De Croo (Open VLD) will become prime minister. The distribution of the ministerial portfolios is also gradually becoming known.

In addition to Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Open VLD also supplies the Minister of Justice. That will be Vincent Van Quickenborne, who will also become Deputy Prime Minister.

CD&V has brought in Finance and the Interior. A Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration will be added to the latter post, for whom Sammy Mahdi is named.

SP.A claims the important department of Health and Social Affairs, as well as Development Cooperation and Urban Policy. The SP.A will have a total of two ministers, and chairman Conner Rousseau informed Radio 1 that one or two non-politicians will receive a ministerial post. “It will be a bomb,” he said. Green will receive Energy and Public Companies and Civil Service.

It is not yet clear how the posts will be divided on the French-speaking side and who will be the chairman of the Chamber and Senate. A total of 15 ministerial posts and five state secretaries must be divided.
