Former Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache is busy collecting declarations of support so that he can run for the Vienna election in autumn – as reported with moderate crowds. The overthrown ex-FPÖ boss presents himself as a real “Viennese original”. He might not be allowed to compete in the process, the left party says “Wandel”.
“The center of life is Klosterneuburg”
“HC Strache has been living with his wife, child and dogs in Klosterneuburg, Lower Austria since 2013,” says a broadcast. “Numerous newspaper reports, homestories and a company registration prove this. Only people who have their main residence and center of life in Vienna are allowed to take part in the Vienna election.”
Change board member Christoph Schütter: “Strache’s center of life is obviously in Klosterneuburg. We assume that he has registered for appearances in Vienna so that he can run here. If you go to Vienna with tricks to start the election we will eat a bissal. “

The party locates a violation of the Registration Act and has submitted facts to the authorities in Vienna and Lower Austria. “We are in good spirits that we can prevent this illegal immigration into Vienna’s parliamentary immunity,” said Schütter.
