The Linz museums are once again inviting you on a journey of discovery during the semester break. With one ticket, families can visit the exhibitions in seven Linz museums from February 22nd to 25th. Included are the Ars Electronica Center, Lentos, Nordico City Museum, Castle Museum, Stifterhaus, Upper Austrian Cultural Quarter and voestalpine Stahlwelt.

Many highlights await the young visitors. In the Ars Electronica Center and its Deep Space, it is possible to travel through unknown worlds and meet artificial intelligence. In the Lentos Art Museum, artists both big and small can let off steam and explore the ecosystem from the perspective of art and science in the exhibition “Donau:Insel”.

A city laboratory awaits curious visitors in the Nordico City Museum, where you can take a look into a possible future for Linz. The StifterHaus invites you to a reading “Princess Hannibal” – about a slightly different prince – and, during a family tour, provides insights into the Biedermeier period, in which Adalbert Stifter once lived.

Things are totally animal-like in the castle museum

Things are totally animal-like in the Linz Castle Museum. There “mysterious creatures with bite” such as the wolf, the lynx and the fox wait for curious guests. In addition, the largest coral reef in Austria is researched and the history of the pigments is determined in a color workshop.

Equipped with a flashlight, the children set off on a journey of discovery through the exhibition world of the voestalpine Stahlwelt. The search for Anton Bruckner also becomes mysterious. In an as yet unknown location there are insights into his life, his music and his time.

Tickets are available in all participating museums and on www.kupfticket.com. They are valid for all four days and cost 12 euros for adults. Children under 6 years of age have free entry, children up to 14 years of age can visit the museums free of charge upon presentation of the Upper Austrian family card and otherwise pay 6 euros.
