For years, the name Wontorra was mainly heard because of one person on German TV: Jörg Wontorra (74, GOLDEN CAMERA 1989). The presenter is one of the best-known sports presenters in Germany, but also moderated the Sat.1 show “Please get in touch!”. A few years ago, however, Papa Wontorra was replaced – by his daughter Laura. The 34-year-old started her career at Sky, then became a field reporter at Sport1. Football is in their blood. A move to the RTL Group followed, and by then everyone knew Laura Wontorra. Whether it’s “Ninja Warrior”, UEFA Europa League games or programs like DSDS and since 2020 “Grill the Henssler” – you just can’t imagine the TV business without the attractive and quick-witted brunette.
Laura Wontorra’s career
It was somehow predetermined that she would one day work for television. Laura Wontorra studied media management, completed internships in the press department of 1. FC Köln and her traineeship at Sky. Through her father, she came into contact with the media early on and was allowed to be his wife at events as a teenager. For example at a spring festival in Marbella in 2004. Laura was only 15 at the time. She smiled for the photographers in a floral dress with a scarf over her shoulders. A few years later, this smile enchants the viewers of her programs. You can see her lightness, she is destined for life in the limelight.
Separation from husband Simon Zoller
One headline Laura Wontorra would certainly have liked to have avoided is that of her divorce. In 2014 she met her current ex-husband Simon Zoller (31) know. The two married in November 2016 and announced their split six years later.
