What happened?
From time to time WhatsApp is updated and launches new functions for its users. This time the popular messaging service added a new font which recreates the one of the old typewriters.
The new font is available for devices with Android operating system and to use it on iOS you have to download an external keyboard to enable it.
How to activate the new font?
To activate the new typewriter type letters you just have to follow these simple steps:
- Enter the WhatsApp application
- Enter one of your chats
- Write three single quotes (‘) before and after the word or sentence to which you want to change the letter. Example: ”’Hello, thank you very much for reading Meganoticias”’.
- Send the phrase and your message will appear with the new letter.

What other typefaces are there?
In addition to this new typewriter type letter, WhatsApp already offered among its functions the possibility of sending messages in bold, italic and underlined. If you do not know how to do it or do not remember, here we explain it to you:
- To create the bold you must put an asterisk
- before and after the word or sentence you want to highlight. To create the italics
- You must put an underscore (_) before and after the word or sentence you will send. To create the words underlined
you have to put a pound mark (~) before and after the word or sentence to send. Credits:
