On the morning of February 20, a landslide occurred near the village of Dederkoy in the Tuapse district of Sochi on the federal highway A-147 Dzhubga-Sochi. It destroyed part of the roadway – the likelihood of further collapse remains to this day. Traffic police officers and numerous groups of journalists from local media are on duty at the scene of the incident.
It should be noted that the A-147 highway is the only automobile route connecting Sochi with other Russian regions. That is why federal road workers decide on emergency measures to normalize travel as soon as possible.
Earlier, the traffic police had already restricted the movement of trucks in Tuapse (towards Sochi) and at the Magri post (towards Dzhubga) due to a developing landslide in Dederkoy, the press service of the Black Sea FKU reported.
