Disappeared and found lifeless in the cliff: Simona's last hours, then the accident

The discovery was made by some volunteers who had been working for days in search of the woman, mother of two daughters. For days the research has involved various areas of the province of Pisa. “We are looking for the car to give a more precise direction to the research”, it was said by the prefecture of Pisa which coordinated the action of firefighters, law enforcement and volunteers.

The hypotheses about the accident

The road makes a curve at the point where the car left the road. There are no guard rails or dry stone walls at that point. Investigators try to reconstruct the woman’s last hours and assess the presence of a downed road sign, which may have been run over by the car. It is therefore inclined towards the accident. The pain of the mayor of Palaia

“Unfortunately it turned out the way we didn’t hope.” The mayor of Palaia is distraught Marco Gherardini after the news. “Our community gathers around the Bimbi family – says the mayor – ours is a small reality, we all know each other, Simona was well known and we didn’t expect it to end like this”.
