The ball is now with the professional football board of the KNVB, consisting of Eric Gudde, the director of professional football, and Jean-Paul Decossaux. On Friday they will consult with (representatives of) all clubs of the honor and first division.
“The clubs have an advisory role, but the decision is made by the board,” said Dolf Segaar, a sports lawyer who assists several premier league clubs.
‘Look at the current state’
To determine what needs to be done now, including who should become champion and the dilemmas surrounding European tickets and promotion and relegation, Segaar would advise looking at the current rankings.
