Digitalization in hospitals, no paper until doctors use cellphones, tablets and applications

Report from Tribunnews.com Journalist, Eko Sutriyanto

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Hospital digitization be optimized by multiplying mobile devices.

These devices can be in the form of cellphones or tablets which are common in everyday life as well as other mobile devices dedicated to medical purposes.

The goal is that medical personnel, both doctors and nurses, do not have to work in certain workstations to enter data.

Also, it saves energy and time because all data-related processing is completed on a mobile-operated device.

Doctors can enter a diagnosis by writing on a tablet, checking medical records, checking pharmacy availability, reading laboratory and radiological examination results, and signing a device that is light and easy to carry.

Similar goals can also be achieved with mobile medical devices used by patients and connected to medical personnel’s cellphones and tablets so that data recording can be done practically right away and with better accuracy.

This was revealed in the recent Samsung Mobile Business Insight training: How Mobile Technology Is Revolutionizing Healthcare which is part of the 2021 Indonesia Digital Medic Summit (IDMS) series.

Held virtual, IDMS activities were organized by the Association Hospital All of Indonesia (PERSI) as well as PT Info Sarana Medika PERSI from 15 to 31 March which presented 10 trainings, 1 seminar as well as the 2021 Indonesia International Virtual Hospital Expo.

IM Business to Business (B2B) Regional Technical Account Manager for Samsung Research Indonesia, Bayu Aji Nugroho explained this in his presentation entitled Mobile Convergence Healthcare.
