What happens with the new DTT reception to our TV: let’s find out if it is compatible
The theme of the DTT it is increasingly central to our lives today, and by now almost everyone knows why. The answer is very simple, because if our TVs they could not offer some parameters, everything would disappear. By now at switch-off missing less and less, the date to be circled in red remains 1 September 2021.
The channels will then be transmitted on new codes, and if we did not see anything, it would be only the fault of our device, too old and unable to receive the new signals, MPEG-4. Furthermore, the frequencies of the new channels will travel on the 700MHz band and in fact it will be difficult to see them if our TV was bought before 2017.

New Digital Terrestrial, the ways to adapt
The weapon of the new frequencies is double-edged. If on the one hand there are those who risk that their TV will remain obscured without realizing it, on the other hand there may be those who would like a new decoder or a new TV, but without knowing that they do not have the need to do so. For those who have it, the bonus tv just got cheaper. But are there any steps to understand if we need to run for cover?
There is a very simple test to complete, which takes just a few minutes. The decoder tells us which DTT channels have already become HD. Just tune in to one of those and see if we get them safely. If we have no problems, then our TV can support the new technology, DVB-T2.

Even easier, we can go to channels 100 or 200 of the DTT and see if there is a message. If we have no problems, we have the sign that says: Test HEVC Main10. If this does not appear to us, we can try to re-tune the channels, try again and see what happens. If still no writing comes out, it would be better to replace the TV. Finally, not all regions apply to the date of beginning of September for the new reception. The exceptions are: Liguria, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Sardinia in Area 1, where it will take place from 1 January 2022 to 31 March 2022. Instead, from 1 April 2022 to 31 June 2022 the procedure will be completed in Sicily, Calabria, Puglia , Basilicata, Abruzzo, Molise, Marche Area 4.
