Differences in the fate of the ‘New Child’, OILS-MCOL Soars, Hasnur’s Stock Drops!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Two shares of newcomer issuers, a company engaged in the coconut oil exporter business, PT Indo Oil Perkasa Tbk (OILS) and PT Indo Oil Perkasa Tbk (OILS) Coal mining issuer, PT Prima Andalan Mandiri Tbk (MCOL) became the top gainers in the second half of today’s trading, Tuesday (7/9/2021).

Different fate, two other ‘new children’ stocks, the issuer distributor of survey tools, PT Geoprima Solusi Tbk (GPSO) and the issuer engaged in the shipping business PT Hasnur Internasional Shipping Tbk (HAIS).

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is sluggish today. JCI fell 0.24% to 6,112,400 at the close of the second trading session on Tuesday (7/9).

According to IDX data, 252 stocks rose, 247 stocks declined and 148 stocks remained stagnant, with transaction value reaching Rp 9.39 trillion and trading volume reaching 21.58 billion shares.

Foreign investors in the stock market entered the Indonesian stock exchange with a record foreign net purchases of Rp 262.78 billion in the regular market. Meanwhile, foreigners recorded a net sale in the negotiating market and cash market of Rp 75.17 billion.

The issuer’s stock which just made its debut on Monday (6/9) yesterday, OILS, topped the list of top gainers by soaring 25.00% to Rp 420/share. High spikes are common for stocks that have just ‘given’. The transaction value of OILS shares was recorded high, at Rp 81.4 billion with a trading volume of 204.33 million shares.

Meanwhile yesterday, OILS shares ranked as the second top gainers after soaring 24.44%.

Together with OILS shares, MCOL shares managed to soar 10.21% on the first day on the stock exchange. MCOL’s transaction value reached Rp 97.75 billion with a trading volume of 66.02 million.

MCOL issued as many as 355,560,000 new shares or equivalent to 10% of the total issued and fully paid capital with an exercise price of Rp 1,420 per share. Thus, from this IPO (initial public offering), MCOL received funds of Rp 504.89 billion.

According to management’s explanation, the proceeds from the IPO, after deducting emission costs, will be used as a capital deposit to a subsidiary of PT Mandala Karya Prima (MKP), which is intended for the purchase of heavy equipment to support production and the remainder will be used for working capital in for payment of debt and operating costs.

In contrast, GPSO shares fell 4.13% to Rp 232/share on the second day after the IPO. Investors seem to have started taking profit after yesterday’s stock shot up 34.44% to Rp 242/share.

After three years, HAIS shares fell 3.31% to Rp 292/share. With this, HAIS shares are red for the fourth day in a row, after rising 24.67 on the first day of their debut on Wednesday last week. As a result, the share price of HAIS is already below the IPO price of Rp. 300/share.
