The coach of Atlético de Madrid, Diego Simeone, guarantees that he will receive João Félix in the team, if Chelsea do not go ahead with the permanent signing of the Portuguese international, as revealed by the president of the colchoneros Enrique Cerezo.
“He is an Atlético de Madrid player. If he has no place at Chelsea, like [Mauricio] Pochettino apparently said, he will have to return to Atlético de Madrid, he will have to work with us again and, obviously, we will be willing to give him the best so that he can improve in what we think is important», he assured, in an interview with El Partidazo de Cope.
The Argentine coach also left several compliments to Félix. «He has enormous conditions, he heads well, he shoots well with his right foot and left foot, he has skill, he is a technical player, he has a vision of the game, he is intelligent and he will be whatever he wants to be.»
Simeone also considered that, if a proposal arrives for the Portuguese striker, «it is necessary to see if economically it is preferable for the club», but he stressed that he can work with the player.
