Canadian actor Christopher Plummer dies at 92, reported Associated Press and Deadline citing relatives and manager Lou Pitt. The cause of death was not reported. Relatives note that Mr. Plummer died peacefully at his home in Connecticut (USA).
Mr. Plummer was known for his roles in The Sound of Music, Return of the Pink Panther, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and others. In 2010, he became the oldest actor to receive an Oscar for his supporting role in Beginners. This role also earned him Screen Actors Guild Awards and Golden Globes. In 2017, Christopher Plummer also became the oldest actor to be nominated for an Oscar for his role in All the Money in the World. At the time of his nomination, he was 88 years old.
