DHF Invades Kampung Melayu Banyuwangi, 9 Children Infected

Liputan6.com, Banyuwangi Cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) attack Banyuwangi. 9 children in Kampung Melayu Village were reported to be infected with DHF. A number of these children even had to undergo hospitalization in the hospital.

In dealing with the wider spread of the epidemic, the Village Government of Kampung Melayu collaborated with the Singotrunan Health Center.

The head of the Singotrunan Health Center, Wawan Prayitno, confirmed that there were residents in the local village who were infected with the epidemic DBD.

“It is true that there are 9 with an average age of 7 to 12 years. Currently, 8 have returned from treatment and 1 is still undergoing treatment at the hospital,” he said, Tuesday (8/3/2022).

Wawan said, if the upward trend dengue cases in the local kelurahan occurred at the end of last February. Initially there were 4 people infected and then it increased.

The village government, continued Wawan, has made various prevention efforts. Among them are doing environmental clean-up activities.
