Developer Giantscraft has announced Ecumene Aztec, a new first-person survival action-RPG in development for PC for release in 2025.
In Ecumene Aztec, you play as an Aztec who is trying to resist an attack by Spanish conquistadors in his Mesoamerican city. Giantscraft promises “strong storytelling, blood sacrifice RPGs, brutal combat, stealth gameplay and crafting.” Check out the announcement trailer above and the first screenshots in the gallery below.
Other features of the game include character upgrades through blood sacrifices, three unique character classes (Jaguar Warrior, Eagle Warrior, and Serpent Warrior), a climbing system, and stealth gameplay.
