A lot of damage was caused early this morning in a ram raid of a cosmetics store in Vleuten. A number of suspects ran off on scooters with bottles of perfume after the robbery. Some of those bottles were found on the street.
The perpetrators drove into the business in the Vleuterweide shopping center at around 4.30 am, reports RTV Utrecht. The facade was severely damaged. Leaving the car behind, the suspects grabbed a number of ready scooters to flee. Moments later, several bottles of perfume were found along the escape route.
The police are still looking for the suspects, but have only a limited description: they were wearing dark clothes. The car has been taken away by the police for investigation. Due to the damage to the facade and in the store, the cosmetics store will remain closed today.
