It had been in the air for a while, but Wednesday was finally like that. Cyriel Dessers can call himself a player of KRC Genk. For Dessers it is coming home in Limburg.
After all, Dessers has always been a fan of KRC Genk. In his youth he may have played for the youth of STVV, his heart was always blue and white. He had already made that clear several times. Dessers proved on Twitter that these are not just empty words.
After the transfer from Dessers to Genk was official, he shared on social media a photo of himself in his new shirt and one from when he was a child. Even then Dessers was already wearing the equipment of KRC Genk.

Dessers will play with number 9 at KRC Genk. On Thursday he trains for the first time with the group of Limburgers.
