It is as of this Wednesday that MODtissimo 55 takes flight at Porto Airport, where more than 200 companies from all over the textile sector make the latest news known to thousands of visitors and buyers arriving from the most diverse geographies.
The Associação Selectiva Moda said, last Tuesday, that the two days of the fair (19th and 20th February) which, besides business, exchanges of contacts and information, also symbolize the great meeting of the entire Portuguese textile family.
“MODtissimo is the oldest textile show on the Iberian peninsula and welcomes companies from all over cluster textiles, from raw materials to clothing, from fabrics to fashion ”.
Among the more than six thousand expected visitors there are already more than 400 international buyers pre-registered, who arrive in Porto attracted by the quality and innovations and creative trends made in Portugal.
Unique in the world
In a fair that – he adds – “is also unique in the world because it takes place in a functioning airport, this edition 55 has as its motto the concept“Feel”, Which promises to strengthen Portugal’s position as a producer of excellence in raw materials, clothing and fashion, capable of meeting the needs of consumers – such as a second skin – and simultaneously reinforcing the image of quality and innovation, through presentation of new materials, designs and trends, increasingly guided by the principles of responsible and sustainable production ”.
“Fashion Forum”
With this edition, a new area is also born, the “Fashion Forum”, which brings together the Fabric Trends Forum, the Children’s Forum and a “Lifestyle” area powered by Antarte.
In the “iTechtStyle Showcase” area, innovations with regard to fabrics, products, accessory companies will be on display, as well as some of the projects developed within the scope of the largest project in the textile industry – “Texboost”.
It will also be possible to obtain information about the “iTechStyle Summit 2020” (international textile and clothing conference) and register for the 4th edition that will take place from 28 to 30 April at the Leixões Cruise Terminal.
