Desire, Power, Vulnerability – New Event Series “Sisi” from Story House Pictures and Satel Film

Vienna – “Sisi” takes a new look at the life of Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, who made history as empress and became a legend as a film character. The love story of Sisi, who defied the rigid courtly customs of her time, and Franz Joseph I, who found an unusual ally in Sisi, is told in six episodes. Dominique Devenport and Jannik Schümann take on the two main roles (“9 days awake”, “The middle of the world”, “Charité”). The event series is realized by Story House Pictures (Andreas Gutzeit, Jens Freels) in coproduction with Satel Film (Heinrich Ambrosch, Bettina Kuhn). Shooting will start in April 2021, the broadcast is planned for the end of 2021 on TVNOW.
