Derailed tram after collision with car in Zurich

In the city of Zurich there was a collision between a tram and a passenger car on Thursday morning. The accident occurred in Aargauerstrasse, as can be seen in an operational report from the Zurich Transport Authority.

Because of the collision, the tram derailed, as a VBZ spokesman said on request. The tram route between Schiffbau and Altstetten Nord station is closed for line 4 operation in both directions. Buses are in use between Escher-Wyss-Platz and Alstetten Nord train station. However, waiting times are to be expected.
