The resources were already assigned to the General Directorate of Agricultural Economy, but through the vote of 76 deputies, especially those from the cyan bench, they will be transferred to the General Directorate of Territorial Linkage and Supply, so that they can begin to be implemented as soon as possible. explained legislator Ricardo Rivas.
The parliamentarian from Nuevas Ideas added that what is sought with the transfer to the new Directorate, created last January within the MAG, “is to streamline logistics so that our producers receive agricultural inputs in a timely manner.” This will ensure that the inputs reach them on time and they can sow once winter sets in.
For his part, Saúl Mancía indicated that “it is important to approve this initiative in a timely manner. We do it so that the acquisition of supplies is expedited and they are delivered before winter begins,” he said.
For this year’s harvest, it is expected to deliver more than 500,000 agricultural packages containing 25 pounds of certified corn seed, as well as a quintal of granular and foliar fertilizer, as well as a seed treater, to guarantee greater production and contribute to the food security of Salvadorans.
