The Denzlingen fire brigade was alerted to a major fire on Friday at 2:30 p.m. A roof truss fire was reported in the industrial area.
In parallel to the Denzlingen fire brigade, the district fire chief, the fire brigades Vörstetten and Reute, the DRK local associations Denzlingen and Vörstetten and the DRK rescue service were also alerted. The police were also on site with several patrol vehicles.
After the arrival of the fire department, an internal attack was first carried out with an attack team under respiratory protection, since a fire in the attic was suspected. However, it quickly became apparent that the fire had not yet spread to the interior of the building.
At the same time, the fire was localized in the roof area on a solar module. The fire had already destroyed the gable-sided cladding boards of the roof overhang on half a square meter. The aerial ladder was therefore positioned on the southwest side.
This enabled the fire on the roof area to be quickly extinguished.
In addition, an external attack was carried out in parallel with a second respiratory protection team on the western gable end. A fire spreading through the second underlayer film could be determined and extinguished here.
As a precaution, a respiratory protection pool was set up with respiratory protection personnel from the fire departments of Reute and Vörstetten. However, these no longer had to be used. The fire was quickly under control after the solar modules were extinguished.
