The Denver Broncos have hired Sean Payton to lead the team out of trough for the 2022 season. No matter how far Payton can take Denver this year, he’s already raised the bar for his sneaker collection with his first-ever sponsorship of Jordan Brand.
Payton is the first NFL coach to sign a contract with Jordan Brand, and he’s not shy about showing off his shoes in the team rooms.
“Payton is showing it off a bit by saying, ‘You haven’t seen these in stores,'” cornerback Patrick Surtain II said, according to Denver Post’s Ryan McFadden. “Every day he introduces new shoes”.

Payton said his relationship with Jordan began in 2020 when the basketball icon reached out to him after noticing that Payton also wore shoes from his brand. He invited Payton to visit his private golf course in Florida, and the two agreed to a sponsorship shortly thereafter.
Payton told The Washington Post that he owns hundreds of pairs of Jordans, with the Jordan 11s being his favorite pair. McFadden reported that the coach will wear an exclusive pair in Broncos colors during games this season, which will not be available to the public.

As Payton makes his debut with his new team, he is looking forward to the opportunity to impress his new players with his boots.
“These guys pay attention to all these things,” Payton said. “When a new pair comes out, they look at me and I’m like, ‘These aren’t for everyone. You have to be in the club to get them.'”
