Denner showcases how to live ‘the good life’ on a budget with new campaign

At Denner there are over 200 items on sale every week. This means you can fill your shopping basket week after week, even if you have a little less in your wallet, according to a statement. The current economic situation means that the purchasing power of consumers is decreasing.

Due to this situation, they wanted to emphasize the discounter core of the brand again. After the physical proximity of the now over 860 branches throughout Switzerland was dramatized in the last two years, the aim is now to show that with Denner’s products and the many promotions you can lead a good life even in worse times, writes the agency Thjnk Zurich.

The new film shows the everyday life of an aged grand dame and her loyal servants. The lady used to be rich. But the best days are long gone. The property is run down, the car is just a rusty pile of metal and the tennis court looks more like a tennis field. And yet the lady still lives “the good life”. Because her long-time companion spoils her with top-class dishes every day. She buys all the ingredients and products from Denner.

According to the agency, they found a song that fits this campaign like a glove: Peggy Lee’s classic “Ain’t we got fun”. The two protagonists sing the song directly into the camera like in a musical and thus even more directly to the target group in front of the screens. The lyrics are repeatedly humorously underlined with appropriate scenes.

The film will be shown in cinemas, on TV and online in various versions and lengths. The two women will continue to support Denner’s communications. They also moderate the Denner weekly campaigns and promote specific products and campaigns in short formats.
