Denis-lès-Bourg – Diamond wedding for the Pharaboz-Rajon couple

Saturday, October 30, Jean-Jacques and Marie-Claude Pharaboz-Rajon reunited their family to celebrate their diamond wedding (60 years of marriage).

Jean-Jacques Pharaboz-Rajon was born on August 19, 1938 in Dijon (Côte-d’Or). Marie-Claude, née Cavieux, was born in Bourg-en-Bresse on October 8, 1939. They were married on April 22, 1961 in Bourg-en-Bresse. From their union were born two daughters, Nathalie in 1964 and Véronique in 1965, then five grandchildren: Pauline, Marion, Lauriane, Clément and Martin and two great-granddaughters: Julia aged 2 1/2 and Iris, just a month.

After studying in the building section at the National Vocational School La Martinière in Lyon, Jean-Jacques did his military service with the special weapons regiment in Bourges (Cher) for 28 months. Being a ward of the nation, he did not participate in the Algerian war. He then worked for the building company Ollier in Dompierre-sur-Veyle, then at Ponts et Chaussées in Montrevel as a designer. Then we find him as a works supervisor at the Bieler Albert company in Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg until 1981. On that date, he created the SCOP Ain Bâtiment (worker cooperative production company) in Saint-Denis with several colleagues. . He will be the co-manager until his retirement in 1998.

Marie-Claude, a hairdresser by trade, opened the first hairdressing salon in Saint-Denis in 1968, under the Fashion hairstyle brand, until her retirement in 1999. The hairdressing salon was then taken over by her daughter Véronique.

The time of retirement is spent peacefully by crisscrossing the roads of France and Europe in a motorhome, but also through organized trips to more distant lands, to discover the American West, Mexico, from eastern China or Vietnam.
