In the past hours, news spread on social media about the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab’s suicide attempt by taking an overdose of medication.
This news prompted Hossam Habib, the artist’s husband, to break his silence and talk about the matter.
The Egyptian artist denied the rumors that were circulating claiming that Sherine Abdel Wahhab had tried to commit suicide using 12 Xanax tablets, saying: By God, this is very shameful.Cairo 24“.
For its part, the Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt hastened to issue a decisive denial of all this news, calling for taking information from its official sources, and stopping exposure to the Egyptian singer, who had recently gone through a difficult experience.
Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, the official spokesman and a member of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, said that everything that is being circulated about Sherine Abdel Wahhab is “a lie,” adding: “She is currently agreeing with her business manager about new concerts, and I contacted her business manager before that and he told me that she is in good health.”
He also added sarcastically during press statements: “Anyone who agrees to go to concerts will commit suicide.”
And he continued: “You do not know the rumor, where did it come from, but she is in good health and I contacted her personally. He confirmed to me the lies of those rumors that spread on the social media.”
Later, a social media user posted a video clip on the Instagram application, in which the artist Sherine Abdel Wahhab and her husband, the artist Hossam Habib, appeared with her daughters on the northern coast, after rumors of her suicide were reported.
One of the influencers shared the video clip through her personal account on the Instagram site, in which Sherine Abdel Wahab appeared while enjoying the summer vacation on the northern coast with her family.
She commented on the video clip, saying: “The two are like a good man from the northern coast. Today, Friday, they are on vacation with their family. Their health is perfect. They are very happy. The video is accompanied by sound, so that everything is normal.”
