Dengue Fever in Tasikmalaya City Experienced Increased, Health Office: All Must Be Wary

JABARNEWS | TASIKMALAYA – Head of Tasikmalaya City Health Office Uus Supangat said that cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Tasikmalaya City continued to show an increase.

“The case of DHF in the City of Tasikmalaya continues to show a significant increase, so all must be vigilant,” Uus told reporters on Sunday (06/28/2020).

During this time, he continued, the number of dengue fever cases in the City of Tasikmalaya has increased, recorded as of June 2020 there were 689 dengue cases or showed an increase compared to 2019 data recorded 672 cases.

In fact, he continued, reported DHF cases this year had caused 16 people to die who were confirmed positive for DHF, and one person died with a characteristic showing DHF symptoms or not confirmed positive for DHF.

“There have been 17 deaths reported, but 16 people have confirmed positive DBD, hopefully this one is not due to DHF, so the data remains 16,” he said.
