Demos for Peace in Ukraine – Overview BW & RLP – SWR3

There are also many peace demonstrations in SWR3Land at the weekend. Here you can see where events are near you!

The news from Ukraine is shocking: days after the war began, people are fleeing the country, and the situation at the borders is catastrophic. War in Europe – unimaginable for many. Thousands are therefore drawn to the streets.

Actually, Fridays for Future (FFF) is a climate movement – now the activists want to set an example in several cities against the war in Ukraine. Tens of thousands of people are expected in Hamburg alone, and schoolchildren will be released from class during this time. In Lower Saxony, demonstrations are taking place in Hanover, Braunschweig and Göttingen. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the police expect thousands of participants in Cologne and Wesel. According to the police, 2,000 participants have registered for a rally at the Reichstag building in Berlin. A protest has also been announced at Marienplatz in Munich.

Demonstrations for peace are also taking place in SWR3Land at the weekend. Many of our listeners have asked about it – here we give you an overview of where events are in your area. We keep adding to the map. Write to us if you have any other events!
