TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono alias ME arrived at the event Call for Change Alert Party NasDem, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta. AHY’s arrival was to fulfill an invitation from NasDem.
Democrats are NasDem partners who are members of the Change Coalition for Improvement. Apart from Democrats and NasDem, in the Coalition for Change there is also the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). From Tempo’s monitoring, AHY arrived at GBK around 14.00. He entered from the GBK West Lobby walking towards the VVIP room. He wore a blue suit with the Democrat logo on it.
The eldest son of former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is not alone. AHY was accompanied by Democratic Secretary General Teuku Riefky and Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Sugeng Suparwoto.
AHY admitted that he was happy to be able to fulfill the NasDem invitation by attending directly at GBK. “I am happy today to be able to attend in person at GBK to be present at the Apel Alert for Change organized by our friends from the NasDem party,” said AHY, Sunday, July 16, 2023.
Deputy Chairman of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali said the Call for Change Alert was an internal party event, not a coalition. So, he said, the presence of the Democratic Party and PKS was only an invitation. “So the invitation is not as a coalition and is limited to one party of five people, but as an invitation,” said Ali at the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Ali said the general chairman of Nasdem Surya Paloh and would be a presidential candidate Anies Baswedan will deliver a speech at the event. He ensured that there was no announcement regarding the vice presidential candidate for Anies Baswedan at the Change Standby Apple. “The NasDem Party gave Anies a mandate to find a vice president. That later there would be no declaration of a vice president from the coalition party,” he said.
