Deloitte office moves to MNP

BUSINESS. The Drummondville office of the accounting firm Deloitte was acquired by the MNP firm as part of a large transaction between the two companies. The news was greeted with great excitement by the employees of Drummondville.

Indeed, employees are delighted with the change for several reasons, who have been affiliated with Deloitte since 2007. “One of them is that MNP’s management style is very decentralized. So, to be closer to our community, our customers and our employees, decentralized management speaks to us a lot. Then, MNP is an office which deals exclusively with SMEs. It is a management like a small firm, but with the ambition of a large firm ”, first commented the Regional Managing Partner for the Quebec-Center region, Alain Caillé.

The change will officially take effect on March 1. MNP retains all of the staff already in place in Drummondville, which, with its 100 employees, is one of the largest offices in Quebec included in the agreement. Until then, the transaction must be approved by the Competition Bureau of Canada, which should only be a formality, according to Caillé.

This transition should be smooth for the current clients of the Drummondville firm, assures Alain Caillé. “Deloitte and MNP are business partners, so it’s a smooth transition. Customers will continue to do business with their same associates. The only thing is that the specialists who support the work teams will be specialized in SMEs, ”added Mr. Caillé.

Get involved in the community

The Drummondville firm, which was already involved in community life, will have even more leeway to contribute to local initiatives, said Alain Caillé. “To be close to our community, it is good that it is for donations, for example. MNP will give us more freedom on that side. It’s part of the company’s philosophy. We are going to be, at least, as much involved in the community », concluded Mr. Caillé.
