Dell Unveils 2024 XPS Laptops with Advanced Materials and Intel Core Ultra Processors

Dell unveiled its next generation of laptops, the XPS, for 2024, which are designed with advanced materials and powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, developed in their design to better exploit the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

Dell’s new 2024 XPS laptop lineup comes in a few shapes, and to appeal to a diverse group of users, the company confirms that devices will be available in 13, 14, and 16 sizes, which all refer to screen size.

The 2024 XPS lineup takes a minimalist approach to design with simple elements on the form with a machined aluminum body and Gorilla Glass 3. The design looks good and comes in only two gray color options, which are; Graphite and platinum.

Every XPS laptop will come with a touchscreen option, from the XPS 13, which will have an FHD+ display, to the larger XPS 16, which will have a 4K resolution, so there’s plenty of room in the lineup to find the size and screen that suits your needs. For consumers.

On the inside, each device from the Dell XPS 2024 family differs slightly in performance. The larger device with a 16-inch screen will be able to work with graphics cards up to Nvidia RTX 4070, while the maximum graphics card in the XPS 14 will only be up to RTX 4050.

The XPS 16 will also be able to run Intel’s new Core Ultra processors up to Core Ultra 9, but the maximum for the XPS 14 will be a Core Ultra 7 processor, and the 13-inch device will have a processor up to Core Ultra 5.

In terms of processors, the most important thing that distinguishes the new Core Ultra range is the efficiency and power to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Not only is it specifically designed to handle offline AI operations with ease, but it also provides better and more efficient battery life.

This is especially true when compared to other newer PC chips from Intel, the Core Ultra lineup is 70% faster for generative AI as a whole compared to the latest Core i generation.

As for prices, Dell says that the price of the XPS laptop for the year 2024 will start at $1,299 for the 13-inch option, while the prices of the XPS 14 and XPS 16 will start at $1,699 and $1,899, respectively.
