Delayed release of Intel’s next-generation CPU? Is there a problem with stabilizing product yield?

New news came in connection with the release date of Rocket Lake, the final version of Intel’s 14nm process.

First of all, Rocket Lake uses the same 14nm process as previously announced in the news and content, but it is a CPU that is expected to improve the performance of IPC by more than 10% on average by applying the next-generation architecture.

However, in relation to the release date of Rocket Lake, which was originally reported by several major foreign media, the official performance was released in early March and was scheduled to be released on the 19th. And he left a Twitter saying that it was officially released on April 2.

There is no further confirmed news in this regard, but some speculate that there will be an issue regarding yield as it is a product released with a high CPU boost clock in the existing 14nm process with the stabilization of Intel’s 14nm supply.

For the above reasons, the current launch date of Rocket Lake is expected to be in early April if it is delayed from the end of March, and the 12th generation Alder Lake is expected to be released as early as in the second half of 2021 or the first quarter of 2022.
