“Even the inhabitants of the Kherson region, both Right-bank and Left-bank, know the “folk sign” – when the occupiers begin to change into civilian clothes and very carefully pack everything looted and send their property over the curb in exchange for the supply of ammunition,” – this is usually preparation to the same “gestures,” Gumenyuk noted.
However, she emphasized that it is the high-intensity combat work on the part of the Ukrainian defenders that leads to such “gestures”.
“We talked about the fact that we are clearing a strip of at least 30 kilometers in order to make life easier on the Right Bank,” Gumenyuk said.
In turn, she explained the statements about the withdrawal of Russian troops from Nova Kakhovka, which were then refuted.
“The military also believe in the good and sometimes it seems wishful thinking. At first it was such a massive rotation that, in principle, provoked the understanding that the troops were packing up and leaving,” says Gumenyuk.
She also added that after some units left Nova Kakhovka, others entered there.
Recall that on March 23, the General Staff reported that all units of the Russian army left Nova Kakhovka, located on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. But later this information was denied, calling it incorrect.
As the Defense Forces later explained, the so-called withdrawal of the Russian occupiers from Nova Kakhovka is a sign of tactics that are observed by the enemy from time to time. This is an attempt to psychologically influence the local population and Ukrainian fighters.
