The defender spent last season in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) team in South Carolina Stingrays. In the ranks of the ECHL unit, the defender went on the field in 50 games, marking six goals and 17 assists.

“I went to Krefeld to improve my game and learn from knowledgeable professionals,” the club quoted the guard as saying. “I’ve heard a lot about hockey culture in this city before.”

“It’s always nice to play in front of your fans. Now we can only hope that this year will be the season.”

Meanwhile, the unit’s head coach Glen Hanlon highlighted the Latvian’s height parameters and the experience gained.

“Christopher is a serious addition to our team. Despite his age, the defender has already gained experience in the adult team, he also has good height parameters. I think Christopher will fit well in our attacking game,” said the specialist. “He’s motivated to get better, so I have no doubt that fans will fall in love with Christopher.”

It is significant that Herberts Vasiljevs spent 12 seasons in Krefeld club before. For ten seasons, he wore a captain’s patch on his chest.

In the 2013/14 season, Bindulis spent his first season in the North American Junior Hockey League (NAHL), where he played a total of 137 games, accumulating 63 performance points (11 + 52).
