In Abruzzo, a region in northern Italy, people are advised not to leave their homes. The result is empty streets.
In the small town of Villetta Barrea, deer are now conquering the streets. The wild animals have ventured into the town from the nearby Abruzzo National Park and thus defy the lockdown. They calmly stroll down the houses – and are not easily chased away by residents. A passerby filmed the hoofed animals; the video ended up on the Facebook page of Abruzzo Tourism.
See for yourself how the deer explore the city.
