Deduction of 2 points for Türkgücü Munich is final

Türkgücü Munich were deducted a total of 11 points by the German Football Association. At least 2 points are now legally binding. The deduction of nine points imposed against Türkgücü as a result of the insolvency application is not yet legally binding.

The German Football Association writes:

The deduction of two points against Türkgücu Munich due to a violation of conditions is final. The third division club did not lodge any further objections against the decision of the responsible DFB GmbH & Co. KG within the specified period.

The deduction of nine points imposed against Türkgücü as a result of the insolvency application is not yet legally binding. The club lodged a timely complaint against this sanction with the DFB Presidium, which must now decide on it as the next instance.

At the moment, Türkgücü Munich have lost a total of eleven points and are in last place in the 3rd division with 21 points before the 31st matchday.

Türkgücü had been stripped of nine points due to the bankruptcy application that the club had filed at the end of January. The basis is § 6 No. 6 of the DFB rules of the game. There it is stated: If a club in the 3rd division applies for the opening of insolvency proceedings against itself, nine points are deducted from the first team. The decisive factor for this legal consequence is the application for insolvency, not the opening of insolvency proceedings.

Türkgücü lost another two points because of a condition violation. As part of the review of economic performance during the season, the Munich team received the requirement from the DFB to close a liquidity gap identified by the end of the season by January 20, 2022. The third division team did not meet this requirement. Less than 50 percent of the gap was closed, so the club was deducted two profit points in accordance with the guidelines in the DFB statutes in the 3rd division.
