As many were unsure, the result was to be expected. The 2019/2020 season is now history in Lower Saxony. The delegates voted on Saturday morning at the extraordinary association day of the Lower Saxony Football Association (NFV) in the virtual room to cancel the season. There will be no relegations, only the championship leader and the relegation participants rise according to the quotient regulation.

No relegation
The application of the NFV association board was accepted with 91.1 percent. At the top, 292 out of 324 possible delegates took part in the voting. The supplementary applications from VfB Rot-Weiß Braunschweig, SV Wilhelmshaven, MTV Treubund Lüneburg and SSV Kästorf were each rejected with a clear majority. SV Inter Celle 07 withdrew its request to be able to move up to third place in the table on June 23. In plain language means: There will be no relegations. There will be no further promoters, only the league leaders and the relegation participants from the Oberliga and Kreisliga have made the leap into the next higher league.
Jan Baßler, Hans-Heinrich Hahne, Günter Distelrath and Steffen Heyerhorst took a seat on the podium. The event took place in the studios in Peppermint Park.
