Sporting Cristal outnumbered 5-2 University Alliance in a 120-minute duel (divided into two one-hour games, each) in Florida, as part of the preparation of both squads for what will be the restart of the League 1 Opening Tournament.
In the first match, the Venezuelan attacker, Jhon Marchán, was the author of the only goal of the match between both squads. The clash was hard fought from start to finish, which was reflected on the scoreboard.
For the second half of Sporting Cristal vs. University Alliance, it would be Washington Corozo who takes all eyes on him. The foreign attacker was present three times and was the figure of the second commitment, the same one that was 4-2 for the Rimes. The rest of so many were written down by Christopher Olivares (SC), while Germán Pacheco and Juan Tuesta discounted for the visit.
What will be the new format for League 1?
The results of the first six dates that were played at the beginning of the season, until before the start of the quarantine, will be respected without any problem. The remaining 13 dates of the Apertura Tournament will be renamed Phase 1, from which 1 winner will come out and will automatically remain in the Play Offs.
For Phase 2, 9 dates will be played and the teams will be divided into two groups. The heads of both groups will be the first and second place in Phase 1 and the other members of both groups will be drawn equally.
Play Off
- If a club becomes the winner of both Phase 1 and Phase two it becomes the national champion immediately.
- If the winners of Phase 1 and Phase 2 are different, but coincide with the first two places of the accumulated, the champion will be defined in a round-trip final.
- If the winners of Phase 1 and Phase 2 are different from each other and are not part of the first two clubs in the pool, there will be a semifinal and a final, both round trip.
